Welcome and Hello

My latest collection is being photographed, signed, sealed and made ready for their new owner/home.  As I reflect on the process of making these paintings over the last few weeks, I realize the process is so much more than the creation itself!  It is all the little bits and pieces that must be brought together for the creation to occur, along with the deep thinking, staring and internal debate that takes place during the process.  

Once I believe a piece is finished, then begin the long stare(s), the ‘what could be missing? ‘So, I move on to the next piece, for the most part ignoring the ‘completed’ piece.  Time passes and I see the ‘completed’ piece again—and it strikes me— ‘I’ painted this gorgeous piece!  And I love it more somehow…so, I make any needed tweaks, sign, seal, and prepare for its departure.
